Vortex Field Service Technician Walt Bury as he arrives on site via helicopter, 125 km NW of Fort McMurray at North Jean Lake located in the Birch Mountains. Winter road access only, but Vortex makes the trip to this remote location for our customer to diagnose ignition faults & repair the GD SSP Compressor with 3306 CAT Engine. Site is set up with helipad anchored by pilings driven into hard ground below the muskeg and is so remote that the helicopter had to re-fuel before heading back to Fort McMurray.
