Ken Osborne started in the oil and gas industry in 1983 working on the ground in plant maintenance and mechanical service. He joined Magna Machine Shop in 1985 where he completed studies as an Automotive Mechanic and Millwright. In 1989 Ken and his partner purchased Magna. He lead the company over the next 20 years to become the dominant mechanical service and machine shop servicing the compression and pump industry in Western Alberta. The company was sold to Vortex (formerly a division of Strad Energy Services) in 2008.
Today Ken is a senior member of the company’s executive group. He continues to provide leadership to the operations and business development teams across the province.
In his free time, Ken enjoys water skiing, snowmobiling, and motorcycle trekking. In addition, he is an active volunteer at many local events and community boards.
